Matthew Vaiza
...of Hispanic decent, Matthew lends a new sound to Clan/Destine II by adding sampled mixes from a collection of more than 3000 albums. The band mates welcome Matt’s style, saying it fills up their musical pool, making it more fun for everyone to swim! Matt’s greatest influences are his parents, since they were always playing records and singing along to the radio. He bought his first
turntable setup as a junior in high school and began by DJ-ing at weddings, proms, etc. After graduating he worked at the local radio station where he began to expand his album library by salvaging all the old records they were getting rid of. This addition sets in motion a ‘new spin’ which only enhances the contemporary flare that the Clan have come to be known by.
